But in North Nottinghamshire this really could go multiple ways - no one can call it. This is a traditional Labour seat, staying red in every single national ballot.
But in 2017 there were just 441 votes in it. The Conservatives, Brexit Party and Ashfield Independents especially, will have high hopes in an area where 7 in 10 voted to leave the EU.
And it is Brexit that most people are concerned about. Whether they voted Remain or Leave, they want the job done so that local issues are dealt with in a place where 1 in 6 neighbourhoods are considered deprived.
There are many who I have spoken to who are ready to switch party allegiances. Different generations of families moving to the other side of the political spectrum for the very first time, all to make sure their voices are heard.
