Man seriously injured in Oldbury sports bar attack

A man has been critically injured after he was beaten up by a group of people armed with pool cues, wooden poles and a golf club at a sports bar.

Police were called to the Bulls Head pub (also known as the Red Bull Sports Bar) in Birchfield Lane Oldbury, just after 5.50pm on Sunday (1 December).

Emergency services attended the scene and treated a man, believed to be in his 20s, for serious head injuries.

An eyewitness, who did not wish to be named, said: “I came over to help and it looked awful, it was very graphic, I hope he pulls through.”

A second man also has minor injuries, but was discharged at the scene.

“Police were called to reports of a violent disorder at the Bulls Head pub in Birchfield Lane Oldbury, just after 5.50pm yesterday (Sunday, 1 December)."

“One man suffered a serious head injury and is in a critical condition in hospital.
