Family make appeal following the death of Aaron Wilson in hit and run crash

The family of Aaron Wilson, who died following a hit-and-run collision in Coventry last Wednesday (3 December), are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

Mr Wilson was trapped between a Vauxhall Zafira and a parked Ford Fiesta on Longford Road, after a Mercedes Vito van changed his mind about turning right into Hurst Road, and switched lanes, hitting the passing Zafira shunting it into the Fiesta.

The Vito, bearing a cloned registration plate of KU09 CEK, immediately drove off and was found abandoned and burnt out in Grindle Road.

The occupants of the Zafira, also on cloned plates of FM57 KRG, gathered their belongings from the vehicle and also left the scene, leaving the victim lying in the road.

His girlfriend, mum and best friend have issued a tribute and a plea to anyone with information to come forward and assist police with their enquires.

West Midlands Police, Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes is appealing for the driver of a vehicle behind the collision to come forward as they could help their investigation.
