Speaking to ITV News Central as she was re-elected Labour MP for Birmingham Yardley, Jess Phillips is frank about the huge problems facing the Labour Party.
She doesn't hold back, citing the leader, Brexit, manifesto, a world view, and where the party has lost touch with the public, although she says it is all totally 'rebuildable'.
The country has said what it thinks of the Labour Party currently being in power. We have to go out and talk to people and not patronise them and not talk down to them, and we have to not dismiss people.
Of course somebody like me could be the leader of the Labour party...will I be is an entirely different question
