Fourth man charged in murder investigation

A fourth man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of a 43-year-old man from Derby last month.

Karl Taylor suffered serious injuries at a property in Uttoxeter New Road on 8 December 2019.

He was taken to hospital but died of his injuries on Boxing Day.

21-year-old Sahib Mann of Hollowood Avenue, Derby, is the latest person to be charged with murder.

Three other men have also been charged with murder.

19-year-old Mateusz Maciejewski of Shakespeare Street, 20-year-old Callum McConnell of Ednaston Avenue, both in Derby, and 20-year-old Gursimran Singh Mann of no fixed abode, appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates’ Court this morning (8 January).

A man and woman, both aged 38 and who were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender, have been bailed pending further enquiries.
