97-year-old Audrey Gerrans could be Britain's oldest charity shop worker.

She was born in 1923, and has been doing charity work since she was eight.

She used to collect money in charity collecting tins, but now works every Thursday afternoon at a Save the Children shop in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.

People are taking all the time. You should be giving. It's much more pleasant to give. I want more people to do it. Please come and help, all of you.

– Audrey Gerrans

Save the Children provides healthcare, education and safe spaces for youngsters in 120 countries.

Its shops in the UK are all staffed by volunteers.

With two children, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren to oversee, Audrey says she'd like to hand over her volunteering baton before she hits 100.
