This Evening and Tonight:
Initially dry with clear spells, but cloud thickening through the evening. Rain moving in overnight, turning to snow, especially on hills, where some accumulations likely later. Winds becoming light and variable.
Outbreaks of sleet and snow at first clearing by midday, then mostly dry with sunny spells. Isolated wintry showers across the Peak District. Any low lying snow accumulations soon melting.
Outlook for Friday to Sunday:
Frost at first Friday then turning increasingly wet and windy, with rain clearing Saturday morning. Then very windy Saturday and Sunday with coastal gales and showers, perhaps wintry over hills.
