Today: Cloudy and chilly with outbreaks of rain and sleet turning to snow in places, mainly on higher ground. This will clear south-eastwards around midday to leave most places dry with sunny spells, and any lying snow accumulations should soon melt.
Tonight: A dry evening with predominantly clear skies, allowing areas of frost to form. Cloud increasing after midnight with rain, sleet and hill snow spreading into western parts around dawn.
Friday: Outbreaks of rain soon spreading across the region. Initially these may be wintry but should turn to rain by midday. Remaining cloudy in the afternoon with further spells of rain.
