A family from Swadlincote in Derbyshire has been left out of pocket by £2,000 after cancelling a holiday to Italy because of the Coronavirus outbreak.
The Bloomfields had planned to visit a number of tourist hotspots across Italy over Easter but decided not to go after the country was placed in lockdown in a bid to halt the spread of the virus.
Jenny Bloomfield claims she has been unable to get refunds for travel and accommodation despite taking out insurance before the outbreak of Coronavirus.
Her insurance provider has promised to refund the cost of the policy.
The family says it is now considering booking a holiday in the UK instead.
