Staff who are now caring for her have given her the name Florence, after Florence Nightingale, in tribute to the hard work of the NHS during the coronavirus pandemic.

They say that Florence is "progressing very well" and gaining weight at their Wolverhampton centre.

"She is progressing very well and we're hoping to have her at a foster home very soon."

She may still need an operation to help heal her wounds, but she is out of the worst."
