West Midlands Police teams are appealing for information after people in a car involved in a crash were fired at, in what police believe was a "targeted attack".

The collision on Mary Street in Birmingham happened just after 8pm on the 26th May.

A grey Citroen C3 car and a white Volkswagen Transporter van were involved in the crash..

CCTV showed the people in the Citroen were shot at from the direction of the van as they tried to flee the scene.

The Citroen was found abandoned on the pavement with visible damage on the driver's side panels.

Nobody is thought to have been injured in the shooting.

"We are keeping an open mind as investigations are in the early stages, however it would appear this was a targeted attack.
