Some John Lewis stores in the Midlands to remain closed

Some John Lewis stores, including three in the Midlands will remain closed as adjustments are made to make sure the shops can reopen as safely as possible.

Stores in Birmingham, Tamworth and Peterborough will remain 'temporarily closed'.

Shops in Nottingham, Cheltenham and Solihull have already reopened, while following government guidelines.

The Leicester store is expected to reopen on the 13th July, as long as the city's local lockdown measures have been lifted.


John Lewis stores have reopened in the UK

The health and wellbeing of our customers and Partners is our utmost priority so we are taking a phased approach to the reopening of shops with comprehensive safety and social distancing measures in place.

To date we have reopened 22 shops and are assessing the effectiveness of every change implemented, while also making adjustments as we go, to ensure that these shops are as safe as they possibly can be. We will be announcing further shop openings throughout the summer.
