Fly-tippers dump rubbish and van in Birmingham park
Fly-tippers have left household rubbish in a park in Birmingham - along with the van carrying it.
The Ford Transit van, filled with building waste, was found just yards away from a duck pond in Swanhurst Park in Moseley.
It appears that the van had rolled backwards into a tree.
It is also suspected that the vehicle was set alight in an attempt to destroy any evidence of who it belongs to.
A Birmingham City Council spokesperson said that fly-tipping is a criminal offence:
It is a crime and where we have credible evidence, we will investigate and prosecute. We receive hundreds of reports of fly-tipping across the city every week and do everything we can to remove as much waste as possible and investigate the circumstances.
