Police are appealing for CCTV footage after 42 cars were damaged in Birmingham city centre.
It happened at around 4:20am this morning on Bell Barn Road, Windrush Grove and Mosedale Way in the Attwood Green area of the city.
It was just appalling to see. I rang police to tell them what had happened and think they already received a number of calls.
A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "A teenager has been arrested after up to 42 cars were vandalised in and around Bell Barn Road, Birmingham, this morning (Tuesday 21 July)."We were alerted at around 4.20am that several cars were left with footwear impressions on the bonnets, had wing mirrors broken off and other damage caused to paintwork."A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and he remains in police custody today."Enquiries continue and we are urging anyone with information or who may have dash-cam or CCTV footage of the vandalism taking place to contact us as soon as possible."
