Man completes Ibiza mini-resort in his back garden just in time to beat travel restriction blues
Life's a beach for a man from Nuneaton, who enjoyed the weekend's warm temperatures from an Ibiza-style mini-resort he built in his back garden.
Guy Young has been building the terraced mini-resort – complete with a pool and hot tub- for 18 months.
It's been completed just in time to beat non-essential travel restriction blues, after quarantine rules were imposed on British travellers to Spain by the UK Government.
The lockdown has meant Guy has had plenty of time to focus on his project, and while he had no prior building skills he had help from two friends and stayed up into the night watching tutorials on YouTube.
The end result includes a pool with underwater chill-out seats which he dug out by hand before adding a mosaic made out of 38,000 tiles, as well as a hot tub under a wooden gazebo, seating and decking that leads around the different areas.
There's also a cocktail bar and a barbecue.
