Grieving woman 'beaten black and blue' at friend's wake told case dropped by police

A woman who said she was 'beaten black and blue' by five people at her friend's wake has been told the case has been dropped by Police.
Amanda Bulloch, 52, says she is feeling 'disgusted' after West Midlands Police discontinued their investigation of the incident which left her with two black eyes and bruises all over her body.
She was allegedly 'punched and kicked' at a house on Pershore Road in Cotteridge in Birmingham. She said: "I got a call from Bournville police station saying they are not taking this incident any further due to a 'lack of evidence'."I'm absolutely disgusted by this."
Ms Bulloch claims she was told 'it was their word against mine', and she has since lost all trust in the police. "Due to the trauma I now have pneumonia of the lungs and I'm still bruised," she added.
Ms Bulloch suffers from emphysema and heart issues, and says she now feels "petrified to leave her own home".
The alleged attack happened last month when she attended her 70-year-old friend's funeral at Lodge Hill Cemetery in Selly Oak.
She said a woman initially started to be abusive when people danced together at the wake.A police spokeswoman said: "The investigation has been closed however if any new information comes to light we will look into this and follow any new lines inquiry."An officer discussed this outcome with the woman and reassured her to call the police if she has any further issues."
