Witnesses sought after teenager stabbed by 'unknown man' in Nottingham street
A 15-year-old is believed to have been stabbed by an "unknown man" wearing a balaclava in a Nottingham street.
The teenager was walking along Brewsters Road, close to the junction with Ransom Road, in the St Ann's area around 5pm on Monday when he was attacked.
The victim was taken to Queen's Medical Centre and treated for injuries which are being described as currently not being life-threatening.
The force has said it is analysing CCTV footage and they are urging any witnesses who were nearby at the time to come forward and share information.
The offender is described as a white man, 5ft 7ins to 5ft 8ins tall, and was wearing a black balaclava and black gloves at the time of the attack.
Detective Sergeant Andy Buxton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: "This is an extremely serious incident and we want to speak to anyone who has information which could help with our investigation.
"It took place at quite a busy road junction and at a busy time of the day. Did you see anyone matching the description of the offender?
"If you were in the area at the time and saw anything, or were driving along Ransom Road and have dash-cam footage, please get in touch immediately.
"People can expect to see a large police presence in the area while we investigate the full circumstances of the incident. If anyone has concerns about what happened please speak to an officer."
