Footage showing the amazing moment a skydiver landed on an inflatable unicorn
A skydiver in Nottinghamshire has hit the headlines for managing to land on an inflatable unicorn.
Jan Zackl was one of a number of skydivers who attempted the challenge - but was the only one who achieved it successfully at the annual skydiving festival in Langar.
Jan said: "Being part of Skydive Langar is such a blast as it is, and then we occasionally get to do even cooler stuff like landing on a slip'n'slide! This time a unicorn was waiting there for me!"
He added: "I was extremely happy with the result and it still brings a massive grin to my face just thinking about it.
"And cutting away from my parachute while still sliding on the unicorn was just the cherry on the cake!"
Skydive Langar said that the hilarious challenge takes a lot of experience.
The firm said: "The unicorn landing looks easy, but it’s actually the result of years and hundreds of skydives worth of practice.
"Jan who makes the perfect landing has made thousands of jumps and received a lot of coaching in how to fly his canopy so precisely.
"The same is true of the other people who attempted it; they all had a minimum of 200 descents and had been fully trained and coached in precise canopy landings."
