Nottingham boxer Carl Froch has spoken of his pride in his home city, as he prepares to be awarded the title of Honorary Freeman of the City.
He will be presented with the accolade at a free special event at the Royal Concert Hall from 6pm.

An Evening with Carl Froch will be held at the Royal Concert Hall, where the IBF and WBA World Super-Middleweight title holder will be awarded the honour.
The ceremony will then be followed by a celebration of his life and career, with a Q&A session to give fans the chance to quiz their sporting hero.
Being made an Honorary Freeman of the City is the highest honour the council can bestow, and is only given to a "person of distinction or who has rendered eminent service to the city".
Froch is first the first Nottingham sportsman to receive the accolade while still competing.

The free tickets go on sale at 12pm
Tickets are now available to see boxing champion Carl Froch be awarded the Freeman of the City in Nottingham.
There are only a limited number of tickets available though.
You can get them by calling the Royal Concert Hall box office on 0115 989 5555 or collecting them in person at the Booking Office on Theatre Square.
