One of the country's most senior coroners has backed the bid for legal funding for families taking part in the Birmingham Pub bombings inquest.
Today the first pre inquest hearing took place into the deaths of 21 people in the attacks on two pubs 42 years ago.
However, the row over how the families' legal teams will be paid continues, and campaigners once again accused the Government of delay tactics to avoid getting to the truth. Chris Halpin reports.

Fresh inquests are to get underway today amid a dispute of legal funding between the families of the victims and the Government.
