Lorry blocked tram line for five hours after taking wrong turn

It has been revealed that a lorry blocked the Midland Metro track for five hours yesterday in Birmingham.

The HGV took a wrong turn while trying to get to the M6 and ended up stranded on the tram lines.

Lorry causing problems on Midland Metro

Viewers have been sending in photos of a lorry which is blocking the Midland Metro tracks between St Pauls and Birmingham New Street.

The lorry is on the track at St Chads. Tickets are being accepted on West Midland Buses and London Midland services.

There is currently no service on the Midland Metro between St Pauls and Birmingham New Street due to a lorry blocking the track at St Chads.

Tickets are being accepted on London Midland services.
