A fire at a Yodel delivery warehouse near Worcester has been declared a major incident by police as firefighters battle to stop the blaze from spreading.
Flames spread rapidly through the 170,000 square-foot warehouse, which holds packages to be delivered throughout the day, as workers arrived this morning.
Residents near the Blackpole Trading Estate have been advised to keep windows closed as police and fire services attend the scene, evacuating workers and closing roads.
55-year-old Steve Bury runs a surveying business from the estate and said:
Mr Bury believes the fire started at the warehouse of a delivery company before spreading to surrounding buildings.
22-year-old Caitlin Evans who works at a charity based at Blackpole, saw smoke rising from the buildings as she was driving to work.
