A driver has been killed in a car crash in Kenilworth in the early hours of this morning.
Paramedics were called to the scene on the A46, near the junction with the A452 at 5am.
They found that a car had left the road and crashed into a tree. The man driving the car was confirmed dead at the scene.
Delays, road closed and very slow traffic due to accident investigation work on A46 in both directions between A452 (Thickthorn Island) and Stoneleigh Road (Stoneleigh), congestion on A46 to A45 / A444 / Leaf Lane (Festival Island) South and on A46 to A429 / B4115 (Leek Wootton) North. A new road safety driving course for young people who live in rural areas is being launched in the Midlands today.
It comes as new figures show young rural drivers are twice as likely to be involved in a collision than young urban drivers.
The National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs and NFU Mutual are working with professional racing drivers to teach young farmers how to control their vehicle if they skid on ice, snow or mud.
The first course is in Kenilworth at the Prodrive Centre today.

Transport Secretary Patrick Mcloughlin, has today confirmed that Kenilworth is set to regain an operational train station after being without one for 50 years.
The station is expected to be opened in 2016 after the line has been electrified.
A Second World War veteran who flew Lancaster Bombers has been invited to a memorial commemorating more than fifty thousand air crews.
