A plucky pensioner who chased off a persistent burglar who raided her home repeatedly as she slept in her armchair has been honoured.
Margaret Woodward, aged 68, was even awake and watching TV on one of the occasions burglar Patrick Reid casually strolled into her living room.
She has been awarded £1,500 for bravely confronting Reid and chasing him out, and has been given a certificate from the High Sheriff of Derbyshire, Derek Mapp, in honour of her actions.
