Dog attack holds clue to Wolverhampton assault

Police are searching for a man or woman possibly suffering from a dog bite who may hold vital clues to a Wolverhampton assault.

The assault, on a 45-year-old woman, happened along Green Lane in Aldersley last Sunday 8th December between 11.45pm and 1am.

It is believed that during the attack the woman's Staffordshire bull terrier may have bitten either the attacker or a passer-by who may be a witness.

Her attacker was described as black, 32 to 35 years, 6ft 2ins tall and wearing a dark-coloured deer hunter hat with ear flaps and black Nike trainers.
