A falling tree trapped a lorry driver in his cab in Shropshire today. The lorry, which was balancing in a precarious position on Attingham Hall Bridge, was stabilised to stop it blowing into the flood water below.
The rescue boat from Shrewsbury was involved, as well as two fire engines, the police and paramedics.
The cab was completely crushed and the driver was released with cutting equipment after two hours of work in the freezing conditions. He's not thought to have life threatening injuries.
Widespread flooding across the country has been marked by calls for rivers to be dredged - but not everyone agrees.
