As Nottingham Children's Charity launches an appeal to raise £500k for the city's Children's Hospital, medical staff have explained why the centre is in need of updating.
Professor Richard Grundy, said:
"The unit is out-dated. It has been the same ward for at least 20-years and times have moved on, things are wearing out. What we want is a brighter, better, safer environment for children facing life-threatening illnesses."
