Drivers in Birmingham are being warned that bus lane enforcement has now recommenced in the city centre, after hundreds of penalty notices were cancelled because of confusing signage.

Of the 100,000 fines issued since 10 new cameras were installed across the city centre last September, 18,000 were put under review.

It was found that Birmingham City Council should have done more to make drivers aware of the bus lane enforcement.

Councillors say new signs have now been put up and the number of people breaking the rules has reduced.
