Both men found injured on railway line in Birmingham die

Two men found injured on the railway line just outside the north end of Birmingham New Street railway station on Thursday 7 August have died.

British Transport Police were called to the scene shortly before 6am and found two Birmingham men, aged 18 and 30, with injuries believed to be consistent with having fallen from height.

Two men have been discovered injured on the tracks at Birmingham New Street station

There are reports of multiple trains being delayed or diverted because of the incident.

British Transport police say it's not clear yet how the men came to be there.
