Two innocent drivers, including a learner, were caught up in a shootout on a busy Birmingham street in Stechford yesterday afternoon.
Police received a call just after 1.30pm when two cars crashed on St Edburgh's Road at the junction with the A4040 Stoney Lane. A gun was fired at the scene.
It is believed two innocent drivers had crashed while two other cars had sped from the scene.
Officers were called out and found two cars had collided – understood to be completely innocent drivers – while two other cars had sped from the scene.
The car wit the gunman drove off towards Yardley.
Police investigations are ongoing.
The offending vehicle drove off in the direction of Yardley. A man attended hospital a short time later with a head and arm injury. His injuries are not considered life threatening. The road was closed whilst searches and forensic examinations were carried out at the scene.
