Police name pedestrian victim in Hagley Road crash

Police have named a man from Halesowen who died in a road collision in Birmingham on Wednesday night and are appealing for information.

Mohammed Naseem was walking in Hagley Road West at around 8.20pm yesterday evening when it’s understood he was struck by a Mercedes car and a Peugeot van.

The 63-year-old man was treated by paramedics but died at the scene. The drivers were spoken to by officers.

"Our thoughts remain with the family of the man who lost his life and specialist officers continue to liaise with family."

"We are working hard to understand the circumstances that led to his death and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision to come forward."
