Young fundraiser launches hospice 'Forget Me Not' appeal

A ten-year-old schoolgirl from Shropshire whose fundraising head shave in memory of her father went viral online, has helped launch a new appeal inspired by the Tower of London poppies.

Tallulah Lewis-Schulz raised ten thousand pounds for the Severn Hospice, after her dad Andreas lost his fight with cancer.

Her inspirational fundraising attempt was filmed by ITV News Central last September, and became an internet hit, being viewed more than 4 million times on the ITV Central Facebook page.

Today she planted a steel Forget Me Not flower in his memory, as hundreds went on sale to raise money to keep the hospice going. Chris Halpin reports.
