West Midlands Crown Prosecution Service has paid tribute to the bravery of the victims of convicted 101-year-old paedophile Ralph Clarke.
Speaking after the sentencing at Birmingham Crown Court, Claire Nicholls said the seriousness of his offences meant that prosecuting Clarke was in the public interest, despite his age.
The judge ruling in a historical sex offences case said "he is so old it will be amazing if he is released back into the community".
Ralph Clarke from Birmingham committed a string of sex offences against three victims in the 1970s and early 1980s.
A victim of Ralph Clarke said the 101-year-old deserves to die behind bars and "rot in hell" for his crimes.
