Man chased out of pub in machete attack

A man was left with serious injuries after he was attacked with a machete outside a pub in Halesowen, Dudley.

Officers were called to Carters Lane following reports of disorder outside the Old Crown Pub.

A 22-year-old man was left with multiple wounds after being attacked with a machete and was rushed to hospital for treatment.

Detectives are looking for a group of five or six men who chased the victim out of the pub. They are suspected of carrying out the attack.

Officers believe the attack, on March 25, was targeted.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said:

This kind of violence will not be tolerated. We strongly believe that someone knows who did this and that someone will have information that could prove vital to our investigation.
