The Conservative Party have taken overall control of Lincolnshire County Council.
The gain came at the expense of UKIP who were completely wiped out.
UKIP's Lisa Duffy said the results were not a 'disaster' for the party but acknowledged it was 'very disappointing' it had been wiped out in Lincolnshire.
Breakdown of the 70 (declared) seats in Lincolnshire:
- Conservative 58
- Independent 4
- Lincolnshire Independents 1
- Lab 6 seats
- Lib Dem 1
Conservatives retain control of Staffordshire County Council.
There is no overall control of Nottinghamshire County Council as no party has won enough seats.
Conservatives have won control of Derbyshire County Council
