Hinckley Police are appealing for information after an 81-year-old woman was the victim of a distraction theft at a supermarket.

It happened at around 10.30 on Friday (3rd November) at the Aldi store on Watling Street in Hinckley, Leicestershire.

The force says one man distracted the woman whilst another took her purse.

The theft comes less than a month after an 87-year-old woman was the victim of a similar distraction theft at a supermarket in Shropshire.
