Brian Little 'looking forward' to first test as manager as Jersey take on Navy squad this weekend

Both Jersey FA senior Men’s and Women’s teams will be in action this weekend against the Royal Navy Football Association. Brian Little will take charge of his first Jersey FA team since being appointed manager of the senior Men’s teams.

Little is pleased with the commitment of his players

I am looking forward to my first game in charge of the Jersey FA men. I have been impressed by the commitment shown by the team in training.

The players should use this match as an opportunity to put into place what they have learnt over the past few weeks.

I hope to see a good turnout from the people of Jersey to support their team.

– Brian Little, Jersey Manager

The Men's senior team will kick off at 4pm with the Women's team kicking off at 1pm.

The reigning NatWest Island Games Gold medallist will be looking to build on their recent successes and test out some of the new players in their squad.

The Women's team winning gold at the NatWest Island Games

We are all really looking forward to the game on Saturday. It will be nice to actually play a game after a long time training together.

We have a lot of new faces in our squad which has helped freshen things up a bit and I will be naming the squad after training on Wednesday evening.

This will be a tough game, we played them last year and it was a draw and we are expecting a similarly tough game this year.

We are hoping that our supporters turn out to watch and we can carry on the enthusiasm that we have built up after the amazing scenes at our NatWest Island Games.”
