90 years of the Queen portrayed in commemorative stamps

The Queen's 90th birthday is being celebrating through a series of commemorative stamps, portraying each decade of her life.

Jersey Post is releasing the collection to mark the milestone on 21st April.

The stamps feature nostalgic photographs showing The Queen as a young child and with different members of her immediate family.

The Queen’s family has always formed a strong support network for her and to this day, family life remains very important to Her Majesty. Birthdays are often about the coming together of families at a time of celebration and we wanted to convey this idea through the images we used on the stamps.

– Melanie Gouzinis, Jersey Post

The photos start in the 1920's with a photo of Queen Elizabeth, then Princess Elizabeth, aged just two.
