Islanders are invited to a special reception to celebrate The Queen's Official Birthday in the grounds of Government House tonight.

The Queen turned 91 earlier this year. The party marks her "official" birthday, as the monarch traditionally has two.

The event will be hosted by Jersey's Lieutenant Governor, Air Chief Marshall Sir Stephen Dalton, and his wife Lady Dalton.

Organisers say the event will "be a colourful evening" and will include:

  • Music by La Ronde Concert Band

  • A 21 Gun Salute by the 1781 Jersey Militia

  • A Marching Display and Beating of Retreat by the Jersey Pipe Band

  • A performance by the Island of Jersey Band

There is parking at Government House, with additional parking available at the d'Hautrée House School site (entry off St Saviour's Hill).

Invitations are not required and all are welcome.
