William Bailhache knighted in Queen's Honour list

Jersey's Bailiff has been given a knighthood in this year's Queen's Birthday Honours.

William Bailhache receives the Knights Bachelor for services to The Crown and community in Jersey.

It's an honour his brother, Sir Philip Bailhache, was given in 1996.

Nine other islanders have also been honoured.

They are:

  • Wayne Bulpitt CBE, for service to young people in the Scout Movement.

  • Judge John Russell Finch OBE, for services to the Judiciary in Guernsey.

  • Lilian Bale MBE, for services to Fostering in Guernsey.

  • Beatrice Vivien Webber BEM, for services to the blind in Guernsey.

  • Brian Heath MBE, for services to the Jersey Probation and After-Care Service.

  • Paul Tucker MBE, for services to Scouting in Jersey.

  • Carole Ann Rose Penfold MBE, for services to the community through the League.

  • Patricia Robson BEM, for services to Art in Jersey.

  • Carole-Anne Janet Robins BEM, for services to the community.
