Wear your wedding outfits with Pride!

Workers in Jersey are dressing up for Dress Down Day to celebrate this weekend's Pride parade.

Channel Island's LGBTQ charity Liberate want everyone to dress in their wedding gear to celebrate equal marriage legislation being introduced later this year.

The charity are encouraging people to make use of their worn bridesmaid dresses, suits and wedding dresses to raise money for CI Pride 2017.

They're asking people to wear their wedding gear to work and share a photo on social media using the hashtag #IDo.

This year, we will see equal marriage legislation introduced across the Channel Islands.

Guernsey already have it and Jersey's law should be in place by the end of the year. To celebrate this change, we are encouraging workplaces to dress-down on Friday 8 September 2017 with the theme of weddings to raise funds for Pride 2017.

– Paddy Haversham-Quaid, Liberate's CEO
