JTC Jersey Wanderers beat St Lawrence on penalties to win their first Zenith Cup.

Eve Watson scored the decisive spot-kick after a 3-3 draw in normal time at Springfield.

Two goals from Rosie Corbett had seen St Lawrence lead 2-0 at half-time, but they were pegged back after the break by a fine strike from Megan Wood and a goal direct from a corner.

Corbett looked like she had won it for her side when she completed her hat-trick late on, but just minutes later Watson levelled again to take the game to penalties.

We said that, regardless of the outcome today and the scoreline, we just wanted to go out and play some really good football. I tell you what, I think that’s the best football we’ve ever played, and to get the result on top - we’re just completely over the moon.

– Libby Barnett, Captain, JTC Jersey Wanderers
