Remains of what is thought to be a nineteenth century ship have been found under the floorboards of a pub in Jersey.
They were discovered at the Seymour Pub in Grouville.
Landlord Andy Davis told ITV News he was gobsmacked after coming across them. It was after builders ripped up the floor following some flood damage. The floorboards were nailed to parts of an old ship.
Jersey Heritage are now looking at some of the timbers to see if they can date them and find out how big the ship was.
Andy also plans to keep some of the remains and build them back into the structure of the walls to be made into a feature of the Seymour Pub.
