South African-born prop Roy Godfrey has been appointed as the new captain of Jersey Reds.
He joined from Wimbledon ahead of last season and went on to co-captain the side as they matched their best ever Championship finish.
Godfrey and his team-mates begin their pre-season schedule at home against RC Vannes on Saturday.
The Reds also host Premiership Harlequins and Old Elthamians ahead of their league opener at Coventry on Saturday 1 September.
It's a very big honour for me to be named captain. Obviously, good group of lads, great rugby club with lots of history, so I'm just looking forward to doing the Jersey island proud. Hopefully we'll have a lot of fans and supporters behind us this season.
