Jersey Heritage has designed an app to help people living with dementia recollect some of their memories.
The 'Memory Box' app, as it will be known, was developed by the organisation after staff visited people with dementia to show them photographs of the past, to help reactivate their memories.
1,600 people are thought to be living with the condition on the island.
Jersey Heritage has said it hopes to digitize the objects and photographs it used at it's 'Reminisce Sessions' in order to make them more accessible to those with dementia.
Heritage hopes by putting the photos online, relatives of older people who may not have the internet at home, will be able to show them pictures on their iPads or tablets through the app.
The app is set to be launched in November on Apple and Android software.
