Purple Tuesday will be Guernsey's first accessible shopping day which aims to highlight the needs of disabled consumers and promote inclusive shopping.
On 13th November, businesses in Guernsey will have an introduction to accessibility through workshops and forums.
The day is part of the 'Accessible Town' project which focuses on improving disabled access in Guernsey.
Organisers want to encourage disabled islanders and carers to "shop, eat out and take an active part in the community".
It's hoped the day will increase disability confidence in Guernsey in the run up to the peak Christmas period.
Following Purple Tuesday, Guernsey's first Accessible Christmas Shopping and Lights event will take place on 3rd December.
