Waiting times for gender therapy could be the 'difference between life or death'
A transgender islander who had to wait three years for her first appointment at a UK gender identity clinic says the delays could be "the difference between life and death" for people wanting to transition.
In Guernsey between 20-30 people have been referred for treatment since the States began providing funding in 2014.
There are calls for more on-island support to cut waiting times and provide more emotional help for people who feel they were born in the wrong body.
Blake Wilcocks told her story to ITV News.
