Santa Claus lands in Jersey!

One of the most eagerly anticipated visitors is arriving in Jersey today...

Santa Claus is coming to the island to see if children have been well behaved just before Christmas.

But he's letting his reindeer have a little rest before Christmas Eve and is arriving by plane at Jersey Airport.

He will be accompanied by his helpers on a flight all the way from Lapland.

Youngsters will be able to see him in the arrivals terminal before he sets off on his customised sleigh which will take him on a tour of the island, which will continue until Thursday 6th December.

The event is being organised by the Jersey Round Table and the Jersey Christmas Appeal, who are raising money for disadvantaged children and their families.

On average 1,500 individuals are helped by the Jersey Christmas Appeal each year.
