Almost half of islanders say they deliberately did not vote in Jersey's election earlier this year.

That is according to the latest Jersey Opinions on Lifestyle Report, which surveyed over one thousand islanders.

The main reasons given for not voting were thinking their vote would not change anything, and a lack of trust in the political system - with 1 in 4 voters admitting they do not understand the system at all.
