The States of Guernsey has approved plans for Aurigny to spend around £46m on 3 new aircraft.
The debate was won with 23 votes for and 14 against.
The new aircraft will be fitted with the new 'ClearVision' system to enable them to operate better in poor visibility.
They will be used on UK routes including Gatwick.
Earlier this month the plans hit turbulence when a retired pilot said that replacing the fleet would not significantly reduce problems caused by fog.
